Not Another Ucking Comedy Night takes a turn into the dark and twisted minds of some of the best new subversive comics on the circuit. Line-up includes Andre King, Tony Tinman, Hannah Deasy, Linus Lee, Justin Panks, Rachel Anderson, Michael Kossew
TONY TINMAN - If Tony Tinman were any more bitter he’d be a lemon. The absursities of the world serve only to annoy him, to which there seems little, if any, antidote. Embittered by the futility of life he meanders from day to day growing ever more weary with the heavy burden of under achievement. With a diploma in acrimonious cynicism no topic is safe from his savage condemnation. His fearless brand of astringent comedy is not for the faint hearted.
HANNAH DEASY - Possesses a mind of pure, unadulterated filth, which she will be spewing on stage like a rabid beast. She will not be appearing on TV any time soon, so catch her in the small rooms while you still can.
LINUS LEE - A fearless comedian willing to expose himself on stage, emotionally. He is influenced by the best in American stand-up dealing with issues that most comedians fear to touch. He is always a pleasure to watch!
RACHEL ANDERSON - Biting comedy and some great melodies make Rachel a stand-out star and definitely one to watch. She has “unaffected friendliness and naturally warm stage composure that means the audience want to listen” - Chortle, which will be needed by the break.
JUSTIN PANKS - Delivers unexpected punchlines and conjures up disturbing mental images that will stay with an audience for a lifetime. Unapologetically fearless and committed to his cause he wades into the underbelly of everyday life surprising, shocking and delighting audiences with his well crafted jokes disguised as anecdotes.
ANDRE KING - A legend in his native New Zeland and a colossus of a comedian who has eaten a stack of awards on his way to the top. He was nominated for 2 consecutive years for the “Most Offensive Joke” and won the 2008 Best Comedic Performance on NZ TV award. A fantastic headliner, it is a real coup to have him perform new material here.
MICHAEL KOSSEW - Emotionally-charged horror-comedy is the only way to describe Michael’s new direction. He has gone from “daring, dark at times and consistently funny”, past “nasty, hate-filled comedy, with no jokes” to become “one of the best up and coming comedians on the circuit”. Catch him as an MC now as it could be the last time he tries to be nice on stage.
